David Oldershaw

It is with great sadness that I write to tell you that David Oldershaw, a former Nottingham Hockey Club player and coach, passed away peacefully last Wednesday.
He died of old age, without any pain, after a steady decline over the last 6 months.
As a seasoned player between circa 1958 - 1985, David was a pillar of the club. He was a truly inspirational chap, both on the field and in his profession as a headmaster. Many of his pupils played to a high standard due to the coaching he gave them at the start of their adventure in hockey, so he has left a pleasing legacy for our sport.
The club wishes all David's friends and family all the best at this difficult time.
