A Warm Welcome to Nottingham Hockey Club

We welcome you to Goosedale the home of Nottingham Hockey Club. Directions are below together with a link to GoogleMaps. There aren’t any specific times where traffic causes a problem, but Goose Fair is the first weekend in October if you are driving through Nottingham.

We share the ground with a junior football team, so parking can be busy for 12 o'clock starts but there is always parking available. If the first car park is full, just drive to left or right of clubhouse and park on grass by the side of the pitch. Please don’t park on the road.

Changing is in the rooms on the right. Showers are available after the game.

Tea is always provided, so if you aren’t planning to stay, just let our captain or bar steward know before the start to avoid wasting food. We sell teas & coffees for visitors. Juniors are welcome in the bar.

Directions

From Nottingham city centre:

Head for the A611 Hucknall Road. About 3 miles after the roundabout on the ring road / City hospital (just past a Tesco on right), take right filter at lights before a humpback bridge towards Papplewick (B683). About a mile out of Bestwood, turn right along a farm track (Goosedale Lane) and you will see the floodlights. It's about a 15-minute drive from the city centre

From Birmingham and the South:

J26 on M1 then A610 towards Nottingham. Second exit at next roundabout towards Hucknall & Bulwell on A600. Head towards Hucknall (it's a left turn at the Morrison's supermarket). At mini roundabout about a mile before Hucknall, take a right over a humpback railway bridge towards Nottingham, then left just after the bridge towards Papplewick (B683). About a mile out of Bestwood, turn right along a farm track (Goosedale Lane) and you will see the floodlights.

From M1 North

J27 on M1 then take a left and follow signs for Hucknall. After c3 miles and before houses start, take a left turn at the second roundabout onto B6011 towards Papplewick. Turn right in the centre of Papplewick village just before Griffin's Head (B683). After c2 miles, turn left just past railway bridge into Goosedale Lane which is a farm track and we're on the left.
