Masters hockey doesn’t mean you need to have ‘mastered’ the craft of playing hockey! It’s open to anyone aged 35 and older, who may wish to represent their age group in wider competitions. You only play against people of a similar age, or just all aged over 35 depending on individual tournament rules. The groups go in five-year increments (i.e., 40+, 45+, 50+ etc.) and there are even competitions for players in the 75+ age-group so it is never too late to return to hockey or start!
Nottingham Hockey Club have had members represent England over 60s in the past, and are equally happy to put people forward for county or regional honours if desired.
