Coronavirus Update

Posted by Adam George on 16 October 2020

The government's new 3-tier system for Coronavirus measures has placed Goosedale Sports Club in a Tier 2 (High Risk) area.

With respect to playing hockey, this means:

  1. We can continue to play matches, but all fixtures against teams in Tier 3 (Very High Risk) must be postponed or cancelled.
  2. If you live in a Tier 3 (Very High Risk) area then you are discouraged from playing outside of that area.
  3. There is no post-match hospitality due to the rules about mixing households indoors.

All other rules remain the same as they did before (England Hockey Stage 5 on their Returning to Play guidelines).

We will issue updates if the situation changes.  In the meantime, stay vigilant and carry on enjoying hockey safely.
